ASSOCIATION SLO-MED - PARTNER OF THE FAIR MEDICAL
The Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Medical Devices SLO-MED is a partner of the MEDICAL Fair, the 2. International Fair of Modern Medicine. The SLO-MED Association was established on 4. December 2013, within the framework of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Chamber of Small Business and Trade. On 1. August 2014, the Association became a full member of the International Association EUCOMED.
The main motivator for the establishment of the Association was the common desire of producers and distributors of medical devices to become a key link between patients on the one hand and health systems on the other. The problems faced by patients and related to the nature of their illnesses are the driving force behind the development of the medical device industry, and of course the solutions that are the results of development within the medical field industry can come to the right place - that is to the patient only through the healthcare system, consequently dialogue is vital between all three stakeholders.

EXHIBITION OF GLUCOSE METERS
25 years of self-control diabetes - from the oldest blood sugar meters to CGMs systems.
Before the mass use of blood sugar meters, diabetics could only guess how high their blood sugar was. Around 1990 the first glucose meters for use in the home environment appeared, and thus management of diabetes became much better, because patients could regularly check how food and exercise impacted their blood sugar. Meters became ever smaller and quicker, and the latest meter can continuously measure glucose 24 hours a day.
For the first time in Slovenia and as part of the modern medicine fair MEDICA, an exhibition of glucose meters dating from 1990 onwards will be on display. The exhibition has been prepared by the Institute of Diabetes.
At the exhibition stand of the Institute of Diabetes, the magazine DITA will be available to visitors. In addition visitors may also:
